Experience the stories of men and women who escaped from occupied Netherlands and joined the fight against Germany and Japan. Hundreds set out in barely seaworthy boats. Many drowned at sea, were arrested, or were shot. More than 2,000 Dutch people, after overcoming great difficulties, reached England and went on to contribute to the liberation of Europe.
The typewriter used by Erik Hazelhoff Roelfzema while writing his book Soldier of Orange is temporarily on display in the museum.
